Public holidays

In eveHRyday we automatically create the Dutch National Holidays every year on January 1st, we do this 1 year ahead so that the holidays for the next calendar year can always be taken into account immediately.

Leave (paid time off)

We have included the public holidays so that this can be taken into account when applying for leave. An employee who schedules a holiday of a week in which a public holiday falls will not see any debit for that day, but will be registered as absent.

Liberation Day 5th of May

Every company deals with this differently, but in general May 5th is regarded as a holiday once every 5 years, so we will take this into account in eveHRyday once every 5 years with the automatic setting of the holidays.

What can you set yourself?

The public holidays will be automatically set on January 1st of each year, but if you want to deviate from this, for example because you mark May 5th as a holiday every year or precisely because you are open on all days in your company and the employee must therefore always write off leave regardless of the day. You are completely free in this, so you can also remove or add extra holidays. In the annual automatic update, they are created according to the standard each year again.
